Seriously, Marlin, you have done an outstanding job, very, very good. I love the character voices, a most pleasant surprise. Your expression of humor, or your interpretation of my humor, is spot on, exactly as I would do it were I telling these stories out loud. Your pacing is exactly right, and your delivery is lively, personal, sincere, open, inviting. It was extremely easy to listen to and I found myself absorbed in it, absorbed by it, wondering what would come next. I laughed out loud at least a dozen times, and I know the jokes. I know all the bits, but you bring them to life in a way that is above and beyond the words. Your work is a triumph in every way.”  –John Gratton (Author)

I was so sad for this book to end! This book combined everything I want in an audio book: History, Hollywood, Business lessons, and a delivery by Marlin May so good it kept pace perfectly with Frank Rose’s brilliant writing. I just wish this book went on forever.

Allen Klein, “jollytologist” and authority on humor, takes to the classroom in a delightful array of academic settings. His experiences are aptly enhanced by narrator Marlin May’s spirited delivery. May sounds genuine whether he’s regaling listeners with a preschooler’s adorable malapropisms or quoting a college student’s sparring with a professor.

A Memoir that Steals Your Heart. The author, Michael Corrigan, tells his story with honesty and humor, and the narrator, Marlin May, does a great job of pulling you into the story with his voice changes for characters…When the narrator does need to use the Irish brogue, usually when Michael’s father is involved, it is delightful, easily understood, and spot on.

It’s an example of how a relaxed and sensitive narration by the very likable Marlin May can turn thoughtful writing into a healing experience. May’s performance, as much as the author’s sensibilities, allows this audio to touch the heart…

Read wonderfully. I love the way this book was read. It only added to an already interesting story.

Great listen. Great book to take on the road. …this kind of stuff is great on road trips. Really captures your train of thought when you’re focused on the audio.

Super Motivational! Loved listening and learning all about Oola! I got through the entire book in 2 days and I’m now ready to conquer any goals I set 🙂
